How to Modify a Child Support Plan
A parent can request the Child Support Program to review the support order if it may be changed. A parent may also file a petition with the court to modify the order. If you are opting to have the Child Support Program review the order, they will contact the other parent to obtain their information and they will review both parents' information to determine what type of change is necessary. Changes may be substantial, permanent, involuntary, or there may be other legal grounds for modifying the order. The results are then mailed to both parents.
